Title
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE AMERICAN LEGION for the purpose of expressing the Council's endorsement of the latest American Legion Post, Warffemius-Seidler Post 381 Baden-Brandywine.
Background
The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness.  Over the years, the Legion has influenced considerable change in America, won hundreds of benefits for veterans and produced many important programs for children and youth.  The Legion is the largest wartime veterans' service organization with 2.4 million members in nearly 14,000 posts.  The proposed legislation expresses the Council's endorsement of the latest American Legion Post, Warffemius-Seidler Post 381 Baden-Brandywine.
