Background

The State's Attorney for Prince George's County noted a correlation between truancy and juvenile delinquency.  This Workgroup will be tasked with: studying the correlation, if any, among truancy, drop out rates, and juvenile delinquency; and identifying possible goals and strategies aimed at reducing overall delinquency across the County.  In order to accomplish these tasks, the Workgroup shall meet monthly for a period of one (1) year, and submit three (3) reports to the County Executive and County Council.
