An Ordinance clarifying that a gas station located within a Waterfront Entertainment/Retail Complex may include a car wash as an accessory use provided the car wash is within or is part of the building(s) for which design and architecture are approved in the Detailed Site Plan for the gas station.
Background
This Ordinance makes clarifying amendments to the definition of "Waterfront Entertainment - Retail Complex" in the Zoning Ordinance. It is identical in content to that of CB-2-2011, DR-2 as favorably recommended by the Planning, Zoning, and Economic Development Committee on May 4, 2011. DR-2 of CB-2-2011 differs widely from DR-1 of CB-2-2011. The Legislative Officer, in considering the comprehensive changes to the bill, opined at the May 4, 2011, work session that legislative procedural practice prescribed a new bill number assignment for the measure. Accordingly, the PZED Committee, in issuing its favorable recommendation as to DR-2 of CB-2-2011, further directed that staff prepare a newly numbered bill for introduction at the next available Council session.
