Title

AN ACT CONCERNING 2021-2022 COMPENSATION REVIEW BOARD for the purpose of establishing a Compensation Review Board to study the rate of current compensation and allowances for Council members and compensation for the County Executive and making recommendations regarding the amount of compensation in accordance with state and local laws, and generally relating to the Compensation Review Board.

 

Background

This bill establishes the 2021-2022 Compensation Review Board for the purpose of studying the rate of current compensation and allowances for Council members and compensation for the County Executive and making recommendations regarding the amount of compensation in accordance with state and local laws. The 2021-2022 Compensation Review Board shall consist of seven (7) citizens, three (3) appointed by the County Council and three (3) appointed by the County Executive, and one (1) Chairperson, who shall be jointly agreed upon by the County Executive and the Chair of the County Council.  Appointees to the 2021-2022 Compensation Review Board will also serve as members of the 2021-2022 Charter Review Commission.
