Title
AN ACT CONCERNING COUNTY-BASED BUSINESS CERTIFICATION for the purpose of facilitating the registration of County-based businesses as certified enterprises.

Background
The County Council enacted CB-17-2011 on November 15, 2011 which required local firms that already have existing recognized business certifications to complete a new County-based business certification process.  The proposed legislation would allow businesses that are certified as a minority business enterprise whose certification indicates that the business' principal place of operation or domicile is the County to be automatically deemed a County-based business.
