Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING PILOT AGREEMENT FOR UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION SERVICES PROJECT for the purpose of approving the terms and conditions of a negotiated Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) Agreement between Prince George’s County, Maryland (County) and One Town Center, LLC (Developer) for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Project (Project).

Background

This Resolution will approve the terms and conditions of a negotiated Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) Agreement between Prince George's County, Maryland (County) and One Town Center, LLC.  This Agreement will facilitate the development and construction of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) headquarters near the Branch Avenue Metro Station.  The two hundred sixty-five (265) million dollar project will include approximately 575,000 square feet of office, and add approximately 3,700 jobs to Prince George’s County, including 500 telecommuting jobs.  The project will support the further development of one of Prince George’s County’s priority Transit Oriented Development (TOD) locations, and will benefit County residents by creating temporary and permanent jobs, expanding the commercial tax base, and fulfilling the vision of the Branch Avenue Metro Station as a vibrant, mixed use mass transit assessable location.
