Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS, DEPUTY SHERIFF’S ASSOCIATION OF PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, INC. (CIVILIAN UNITS) SALARY SCHEDULE Z for the purpose of amending the Salary Plan of the County to reflect the terms of the labor agreement by and between Prince George’s County, Maryland and the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Prince George’s County, Inc. (Civilian Units).

Background

This is companion legislation to the bill to approve the collective bargaining agreement between Prince George’s County, Maryland and the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Prince George’s County, Inc. (Civilian Units) for Fiscal Year 2016.  This resolution also reflects modifications to the agreement.  A fiscal impact statement will be provided by the Office of Management and Budget.

 

The proposed salary plan amendments were submitted to the County Council by the County Executive on May 13, 2016.  Pursuant to Section 903 of the Charter, if the Council fails to take final action on the proposed salary plan before July 12, 2016, the salary plan shall stand approved.
