Title
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING STATE OF MARYLAND COMMUNITY INVESTMENT TAX CREDIT PROGRAM for the purpose of approving the project to be submitted by CASA de Maryland, Inc. to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for participation in the Department's Community Investment Tax Credit Program.
Background
CASA de Maryland, Inc. ("CASA") is a 501(c)(3) community based nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life, social and economic well-being of the Latino and immigrant community in Maryland.  CASA is applying to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for approval of its Immigrant Integration Program (the "Project") for participation in the Community Investment Tax Credit Program.  CASA plans to expand the financial literacy component of the Immigrant Integration Program by providing banking and tax preparation assistance to families.  CASA is seeking a tax credit allocation in the amount of $50,000 to support this Project.  The State of Maryland requires local legislative support for participation in the Program.
