Title: A RESOLUTION CONCERNING DESIGNATING APRIL AS “SECOND CHANCE MONTH” for the purpose of collectively recognizing the month of April as “Second Chance Month” to celebrate the power of redemption and renewal in the lives of formerly incarcerated individuals seeking to rebuild their lives and thrive; raising awareness of unnecessary barriers faced by individuals with criminal records; promoting policies and initiatives that remove barriers to re-entry and help individuals with criminal records rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society; and honoring those who work towards removing unnecessary barriers and support formerly incarcerated individuals.
