Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY STREAMLINING DEVELOPMENT REVIEW WORKGROUP for the purpose of establishing a workgroup to recommend policies and practices to the County Council and County Executive to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy, and implement best practices in the land development review process without reducing substantive public input.

Background

This resolution establishes the Streamlining Development Review Workgroup, an advisory body of up to fifteen members who make recommendations for improving the land development review practices of Prince George's County. The workgroup will deliver final recommendations to the County Council, County Executive, and County Planning Board within sixty days of its first public meeting. The recommendations will be based on a comprehensive review of the development review process in Prince George's County as well as best practices from peer jurisdictions. Members will be selected by the Council Chair and chosen based on their expertise in or proximity to land development processes, including from County agencies involved in land development review. Ninety days following the transmittal of its recommendations, the workgroup will cease to exist.
