Title: A RESOLUTION CONCERNING EATING AND DRINKING ESTABLISHMENTS-ZONING REGULATIONS-OUTDOOR SEATING-TEMPORARY AUTHORIZATION for the purpose of implementing, on an emergency basis, specific State and local government directives for the reopening of eating and drinking establishments in Prince George’s County, thereby furthering the economic recovery during the ongoing Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) global health pandemic in the County, by temporarily suspending certain restrictions on outdoor seating arising under Subtitle 27 of the Prince George's Code, being also the Prince George's County Zoning Ordinance, and providing a temporary expedited administrative process to authorize outdoor dining to otherwise lawful eating and drinking establishment uses on adjacent exterior space or shared exterior space, under certain specified circumstances.

Background

This Resolution implements, on an emergency basis, specific State and local government directives for the reopening of eating and drinking establishments in Prince George’s County, thereby furthering the economic recovery during the ongoing Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) global health pandemic in the County, by temporarily suspending certain restrictions on outdoor seating arising under Subtitle 27 of the Prince George's Code, being also the Prince George's County Zoning Ordinance, and providing a temporary expedited administrative process to authorize eating and drinking establishments to expand operations of the use to newly created or expanded seating on adjacent or shared exterior in Prince George’s County, under certain specified circumstances.
