A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COUNTY COUNCIL RULES OF PROCEDURE for the purpose of amending Rules of Procedure for the County Council.
Background
A review of Council Rules of Procedure to allow for virtual attendance and voting in limited circumstances in the Post-Covid era. During COVID, the Council allowed for virtual meetings, attendance, and voting. Those allowances were only during the term of an Emergency. Now that the State of Emergency as it relates to COVID has been withdrawn, all virtual accommodations have been withdrawn as well. This resolution will allow for virtual attendance and voting, without the need of a Declaration of Emergency, in limited situations with advanced notice from the Councilmember to the Chair or Committee Chair and the Clerk. This Resolution will also require at least 48 hours notice for any rescheduled Council or Committee meeting.
