A RESOLUTION CONCERNING ACTS OF INSURGENCY - PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY PUBLIC SERVANTS for the purpose of urging and indicating support to the County Executive in directing and assisting the appropriate agencies including but not limited to federal, state and local authorities, to investigate whether any and all actions taken by any public servant of Prince George’s County, by volunteer, employment, appointment, or election of any position within any Prince George’s County entity participated in, aided, or abetted the violent and unlawful insurrection, as defined by 18 U.S. Code §2383, at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021 or similar actions for the January 20, 2021 Inauguration of the 46th President of the United States and for the days leading up thereto shall face sanction, including removal from their Official position, including volunteer positions.

Background
For the purpose of urging and indicating support to the County Executive in directing and assisting the appropriate agencies including but not limited to federal, state and local authorities, to investigate, and issue a report on, whether any and all actions taken by Officials of Prince George’s County or volunteer Officials of Prince George’s County who participated in, aided, or abetted the violent and unlawful insurrection at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021 or similar actions for the January 20, 2021 Inauguration of the 46th President of the United States and for the days leading up thereto shall face sanction, including removal from their Official position, including volunteer positions.
