Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING DISTRICT COUNCIL RULES OF PROCEDURE for the purpose of amending Rules of Procedure for the District Council to permit virtual or remote attendance and voting by Council Members under limited circumstances.

Background

A review of District Council Rules of Procedure to allow for virtual attendance and voting in limited circumstances in the Post-Covid era.  During COVID, the Council allowed for virtual meetings, attendance, and voting.  Those allowances are permitted only pursuant to Rule 6.6.  However, Rule 6.6 does not allow for Members to attend and vote virtually on an individual basis.  This Resolution will permit individual Council Member remote participation under limited circumstances without requiring that the entire meeting or hearing be conducted virtually.
