Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS, AFL-CIO, LOCAL 1619 (FIRE FIGHTERS, PARAMEDICS, AND FIRE FIGHTER/MEDICS) SALARY SCHEDULE Y for the purpose of amending the Salary Plan of the County to reflect the terms of the labor agreement by and between Prince George’s County, Maryland and the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, Local 1619 (Fire Fighters, Paramedics, and Fire Fighter/Medics).

 

Background

This is companion legislation to the Bill to approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Prince George's County, Maryland and the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1619, AFL-CIO (Fire Fighters, Paramedics and Fire Fighter/Medics) for Fiscal Years 2023 and 2024. 

 

This Salary Schedule reflects the modifications contained in the Agreement between the County and the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1619, AFL-CIO (Fire Fighters, Paramedics and Fire Fighter/Medics) and provides for COLAs, merits, maximum wage scale adjustments, premium certification and special duty pay, additional leave provisions, wellness and fitness, work schedules and a hold harmless benefit.

 

A fiscal impact statement will be provided by the Office of Management and Budget.
