Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING LOCAL IMPACT GRANT FUNDS MULTIYEAR PLAN for the purpose of transmitting the Local Impact Grant Funds Multiyear Plan to the County Council for review and approval.

Background

Pursuant to Section 10-309.02 of the Prince George’s County Code, this resolution will approve the Local Impact Fund Multiyear Plan for FY 2021 - FY 2023.  The spending plan details the planned use of video lottery terminal taxes from FY 2021- FY 2023.  The FY 2021 spending plan totals $987,700 and allots funding to Employ Prince George’s National Harbor Job Training Center ($337,700), scholarships for high school students attending Friendly, Oxon Hill, Potomac and Crossland high schools ($150,000), and grants to community organizations ($500,000).  The FY 2021 portion of the plan has been included in the FY 2021 Approved Budget Ordinance (CB-24-2020).

The plan also has funding totaling $6,043,800 in FY 2022 and $6,810,000 in FY 2023.  The spending plan is subject to change based upon the County’s budget process and adjustments to out-year revenue projections.
