Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE 2018 WATER AND SEWER PLAN (MARCH 2022 CYCLE OF AMENDMENTS) for the purpose of changing the water and sewer category designations of properties within the 2018 Water and Sewer Plan.

Background

The 2018 Water and Sewer Plan provides for four cycles of category change requests annually to amend the Plan.  This Resolution represents the March 2022 Cycle of Amendments.

The 2018 Water and Sewer Plan was adopted by CR-64-2019, and amended by CR-75-2019, CR-11-2020, CR-45-2020, CR-87-2020, CR-98-2020, CR-22-2021, CR-49-2021, CR-87-2021, CR-105-2021 and CR-017-2022.

There is one (1) waiver request for well usage located in the Blue Plains sewer basin, and the Patuxent Aquifer.  Additionally, the Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement is requesting to amend categories for residential homes confirmed to have connected to the public water and sewer in Council District 6.

Environment Article, Title 9, Subtitle 5, of the Maryland Annotated Code, sets procedures for amendments and revisions to the Plan.  At least 30 days prior to the public hearing on the amendments, the County Council must submit to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission and The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission a copy of the resolution for their recommendations.
