Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING CONTRACT APPROVALS for the purpose of approving a multi-year Master Lease Agreement to fund essential Prince George’s County (“County”) technology equipment that is the industry standard for network-attached high-volume storage.

 

Background

Pursuant to Section 819 of the County Charter the County Council is required to approve all multi-year contracts exceeding an aggregate of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00). This resolution is needed in order to comply with Section 819.  It requests the County Council to approve a multi-year Master Lease Agreement to fund essential technology equipment that is the industry standard for network-attached high-volume data storage. The storage is a shared resource engineered to support County agencies’ data supported by the enterprise IT infrastructure as well as video for body-worn camera used by public safety.  The aggregate cost exceeds the ($500,000.00) threshold.
