Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING LOCAL IMPACT GRANT FUNDS MULTIYEAR PLAN for the purpose of transmitting the Local Impact Grant Funds Multiyear Plan to the County Council for review and approval.

 

Background

Pursuant to CB-88-2015, this resolution will approve the Local Impact Fund Multiyear Plan for FY 2018 - FY 2020.  The plan details the planned use of net video lottery terminal taxes for applicable fiscal years.  The FY 2018 spending plan allots $4,262,100 of funding for the Board of Education ($2,438,600), the District 7 police station ($345,700), fire fighters at various stations in the impact area ($190,100), the Economic Development Corporation’s Workforce Development and Training Program ($337,700), scholarships for high school students attending Friendly, Oxon Hill, Potomac and Crossland high schools ($150,000), the County’s Youth Employment Program ($300,000) and grants to community organizations ($500,000).  The FY 2018 portion of the plan has been included in the FY 2018 Approved Budget.  The plan also has funding totaling $5,099,300 in FY 2019 and $5,324,900 in FY 2020.
