Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATIONS IN THE APPROVED FISCAL YEAR 2023-2028 CAPITAL PROGRAM for the purpose of providing supplementary appropriations and amending the Capital Improvement Program of the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George's County for Fiscal Years 2023-2028.

 

Background

This resolution will provide supplementary appropriations and amends the Fiscal Year 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program of the Redevelopment Authority of Prince George’s County The Redevelopment Authority received a total of $1,350,000 in State grants to support various capital projects. Grant funding totaling $850,000 is provided for the Suitland Manor Redevelopment project (8.90.0003).  This funding will support the redevelopment of a vacant and blighted former laundry facility into a multi-tenant commercial site as well as acquire and demolish an old 15-unit building to redevelop into townhomes. Grant funds totaling $500,000 have been awarded for the Addison Road/Capitol Heights Metro Corridor project (8.90.0002) for various community enhancement projects and property acquisitions.
