Title

A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS, FIRE OFFICIALS - SALARY SCHEDULE “F-O” SCHEDULE OF PAY GRADES for the purpose of amending the Salary Plan of the County to reflect certain wage and benefit modifications of Fire Officials.

 

Background

This Resolution amends the Salary Plan for Fire Officials in the Fire Department with the following modifications: scheduled pay rates, wage scale adjustment, merit payments for Fiscal Year 2016, 2017 and 2018, holiday pay, cost of living, hold harmless provision, military leave, group health insurance, and line of duty benefit. 

 

A fiscal impact statement will be provided by the Office of Management and Budget.

 

The proposed salary plan amendments were submitted to the County Council by the County Executive on September 19, 2017.  Pursuant to Section 903 of the Charter, if the Council fails to take final action on the proposed salary plan before November 18, 2017, the salary plan shall stand approved.

 

NOTE: CR-80-2017 is retroactively effective to July 1, 2016.
