Title

AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING NONRESIDENTIAL BASE ZONES-PERMITTED PRINCIPAL USES-CIGAR CLUB/LOUNGE for the purpose of defining the use, “Cigar Club/Lounge,” in the Zoning Ordinance; permitting the use in the CN (Commercial, Neighborhood), CS (Commercial, Service), and CGO (Commercial, General, and Office) zones of the County; and establishing regulations governing the use in furtherance of the public safety, health, and welfare of the residents of Prince George’s County.

 

Background

This bill establishes a new use, "Cigar Club/Lounge," in the County Zoning Ordinance; permits the use in the CN, CS, and CGO Nonresidential Base Zones of the County; and sets forth certain regulations, to include buffer requirements from incompatible uses and signage restrictions that minimize detrimental effects on surrounding communities, in order to safeguard the public safety, health, and welfare.
